Position Summary:
As the Thomas Interior Systems (TIS) ambassador for all DIRTT projects, the DIRTT Sales Champion will actively sell products throughout Chicagoland and will consistently find creative ways to meet customer needs.  The primary responsibilities of this role include expanding Thomas’ DIRTT business, promoting the full DIRTT Solution (Walls, Millwork, Power and Networks, Floors and Breathe Walls), closing sales deals and helping coordinate the efforts of the other DIRTT team members. The DIRTT Champion will work closely with Thomas’ DIRTT Representative to strategize, plan and capitalize on new business opportunities.  An ideal candidate will be optimistic, enthusiastic and entrepreneurial and will strive to exhibit TIS’ five core values in all aspects of his/her work.

Responsibilities:

  •  Develop an in-depth understanding of all DIRTT products offered in the Thomas portfolio
  • Increase sales in Chicago and its suburbs by promoting the unique and innovative qualities of DIRTT products
  • Educate clients on the variety, flexibility and cost effectiveness of DIRTT applications
  • Collaborate with our DIRTT designers and PMs to produce the best possible customer solutions
  • Acquire a comprehensive understanding of the construction process, real estate market and job site conditions to ensure effective interactions with general contractors and project managers
  • Operate within an assigned budget and communicate monthly forecasts and sales volumes to management
  • Work with the leadership team to establish strategic objectives for expanding new and existing business
  • Sustain competitive sales levels by conducting a minimum number of sales appointments per week
  • Promote the Thomas brand and value’s through active participation in the local business network, focusing specifically events for construction, design and real estate professionals
  • Maintain an active social presence to identify market trends, increase awareness and win new business
  • Serve as the primary DIRTT presenter using sales tools such as FreshDIRTT, case studies, project presentations, and the full ICE® design suite

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in applicable discipline or equivalent time spent in professional sales role
  • 2 years of successful sales experience with a proven track record of planning/execution preferred
  • Substantial knowledge of office furniture and/or experience in a related industry preferred
  • A high energy, persuasive personality with the ability to close deals aggressively
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, including experience in presentations and negotiations
  • Ability to analyze situations, think creatively on one’s feet and solve problems under pressure
  • Possession of a personal vehicle for the transportation of company products used for sales appointments
  • Ability to effectively handle products for delivery or demonstrations without assistance
  • Proficiency with office communication, CRM, and sales software tools
  • Willingness and ability to travel an average of 30-40% as required
